Dr. Peter Saundry, Executive Director for the National Council for Science and the Environment (NCSE), will discuss contemporary trends in interdisciplinary environmental and sustainability baccalaureate and graduate academic programs in the US. Dr. Saundry plays a pivotal role in NCSE’s recent comprehensive reports on Sustainability Curriculum Design. These publications provide detailed information about academic programs in the emerging fields of interdisciplinary environmental education and offer educators, students, and staff a valuable framework for understanding academic programs in sustainability. In addition, Dr. Saundry is interested in opening a dialogue regarding federal funding for environmental research and development.
