Beth Karlin, the Director of CUSA’s Transformational Media Lab, will be vocally participating at the Storytelling, Engagement and Activism for Change (SEA Change) panel. The discussion will cover concepts for story development and production and introduce a framework for designing and assessing film campaigns. New information and communication technologies have opened up a whole new set of opportunities for film to serve as an agent for social change. Participants will synthesize academic theory, empirical research, and the lived experience of storytellers and activists, with an eye towards exposing what they know, exploring what they don’t, and leveraging connections to maximize impact.
Tickets are sold at $14 per person.
Karlin’s presentation will be part of the encompassing event, the Hollywood Film Festival, being held from October 17th to the 21th. For more information, please click here.
