TML Director Beth Karlin will be serving as an invited panelist at the Environmental Activism in the Digital Age Symposium at NYU Polytechnic in Brooklyn, NY on Wednesday, April 2, 2014. This conference explores the successful use of digital technologies—film, web, smartphones, apps, games, and others— to change behavior, attitudes, policies and decision-making about environmental issues. The goal of the conference is to increase understanding of “what works” in the realm of digital strategies to increase understanding and mobilize support around pressing environmental concerns.
The event is designed for professionals in the environmental, public service, and digital media industries, as well as students, researchers, activists and others. Additional speakers include Edward Maibach, Director of the Center for Climate Change Communication at George Mason University, Jacques Servin of the YES Men, and David Miller, President and CEO of World Wildlife Federation-Canada.
