"An Agile System to Respond to Biological Threats: UCI Based Whole Proteome Technology"

Dr. Luis Villarreal is Professor of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at the University of California, Irvine. He is Director of the IRVINE Research Unit on Animal Viruses; a multi-faculty interdepartmental research group. He is also director of the Viral Vector Facility for gene therapy. He has long been active in minority science education programs . His area of interest is molecular virology of small DNA viruses, and virus evolution.
