In “Up a Dry Creek: What Satellites Tell Us About California’s Epic Drought,” UCI professor Jay Famiglietti discussed his latest findings on the statewide drought. As Founding Director of the UC Center for Hydrologic Modeling and Senior Water Scientist at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory at the California Institute of Technology, Famiglietti is well known for his contributions to water scarcity research. In addition to featuring in the documentary Last Call at the Oasis (2011) on the global water crisis, he has published a recent op-ed “California has about one year of water stored. Will you ration now?” to Los Angeles Times. In his latest seminar, presented April 8, 2015, he will be relaying his latest data findings.
