CUSA welcomes post-doctoral scholar Julien Forbat. Dr. Forbat holds a Ph.D. in interdisciplinary studies from the University of Geneva, where he both taught and conducted research at the Institute of Environmental Sciences from 2008-2014. His primary areas of interest are environmental health and sustainable development policies. In this regard, he has studied National Environmental Health Actions Plans (NEHAPs) in numerous European countries. Julien is also very interested in the interdisciplinary relationship of these concepts in terms of policy definition and implementation.
Dr. Forbat arrived at UCI late last Fall and will be here through the end of the year, with the possibility to extend for a second year. Working with CUSA provides him a great opportunity to study interdisciplinary issues at the local level, participating with one or more of the community-based research projects that are currently active in the center.
